Job Description:
STS Telecom, a major telecommunications company seeks a NOC Specialist.
Headquartered in Cooper City, FL with a staff of 70+ employees, we are
a rapidly growing, leading edge company. Our services include local, long
distance, T-1's, PRI's and VoIP. This individual will work closely with
other departments.
Responsibilities:

Circuit Acceptance and Testing

Circuit Issues - VoIP, Data and Business One
-
Installation Support - PM, Vendor and Installer
-
Troubleshooting customer issues Handsets, Switches and Routers
-
Sylantro Moves, Adds and Changes
-
Configurations Routers, Switches and IADs
-
QOS Quality of Service
-
IP Addressing Assignments
-
Service Outages VoIP, Data and Business One
-
Softphones X-PRO and Lite
Requirements:
-
College Degree in Computer or Network Engineering
-
2+ years of experience in networking
-
Previous NOC (Network Operation Center) experience preferred
-
Solid knowledge of networking protocols, with a solid understanding of
Telephony and Networking wiring (66 blocks, RJ-45, RJ-11, T1)

Must have good scripting / programming skills (perl, C++, AWK, PHP, etc)

Knowledge of Cisco IOS, switches and routers
-
Ability to automate tasks via scripts for provisioning and upgrade of remote
Cisco equipment a must

CCNA a big plus!

Willing to be on call 24/7

VoIP - SIP, MGCP, QoS, Cisco and Polycom IP Phones

Telecommunications in general: PSTN, SONET.

T1 protocol, testing and troubleshooting
