| How to know if you have a
message in your mailbox: |

If you have new messages, you will hear several short bursts of dial
tone that eventually smooth out (we call this "stutter dial tone") when
you lift your receiver. With some equipment, you may also see a message
waiting light. |
| How to Listen to a message: |
 |
First, call your mailbox If autoplay is on, new voice messages will
play automatically. If not, press: |

to hear new unheard voice messages first

to review all voice messages (a quicker way to a saved message)

to access your fax messages (See Tip: Fax Messages) |

Tip (Autoplay): Your Autoplay option has been turned
on so your voice messages will play automatically when you call your mailbox.
If you have both voice and fax messages, to bypass Autoplay and access
your FaxMail quickly enter   .
You may also turn Autoplay off for future sessions by entering, from the
Main Menu:

Tip (Fax Messages): When reviewing
a fax message, press
to print it to one of the following: [1] your pre-established primary fax
number (must be different from line you called in on); [2] an alternate
fax number whose number you will enter, or [3] to a fax machine on the
line you are calling from (this one allows you to retrieve it from any
long distance location or to share a number as a voice and fax line.).
With the Current Line option, you will be instructed to press the START
key on your fax machine. Once it starts the transfer, you may hang up. |
| How to Reply to a message: |
 |
Now you can eliminate time-consuming callbacks when you receive messages!
If the sender has STS Telecom Voice Mail service, just reply to the sender's
voice mailbox. |

Send a recorded reply to another STS Telecom voice mailbox. |

| How to Forward a message: |

Share important information immediately by sending copies of messages
to others. |

Send copies of voice or FaxMail messages to other STS Telecom voice
mailboxes. |

Silent Messaging (Mailbox to Mailbox Messaging) |
 |
Communicate important information to other individuals - even when
you don't have time for a conversation. With STS Telecom "Silent Messaging"
you can send a message to another STS Telecom voice mailbox anywhere in
the STS Telecom 9 state region without ringing the recipient's telephone
or without incurring a toll-charge. Follow the instructions under FaxMail
if you have the fax option. How to send a message: |

| Tip: If you have the Faxmail option, you may only
send fax messages that have been received in your mailbox. To deposit a
fax in your mailbox, call your home number and during your greeting, press
the [4] key. Follow directions and when told, press the START key on your
fax machine. You may hang up after the transfer begins. When you call your
mailbox to log in as a subscriber, review your fax message. Use the Send
Copy feature [5] to send it to another subscriber Mailbox, or the Print
Fax feature [8] to send it to a local fax machine. |
